Cape Cod Rugby Football Club

USA Rugby, NERFU Division IV Senior Men's Side

Established 2010

About Us

Who are the "Cutthroats"?

Established in 2010, we are the the Cape's only Men's rugby club. We are officially sanctioned by USA Rugby and play within the New England Rugby Union's Division IV.

Our home matches are played at Camp Good News in Forestdale off of Route 130. Our away matches range from Boston, MA to Pittsfield, MA and Rutland, VT to Lebanon, NH.

Our players began playing in colleges around the US and the world. We play alongside 30+ year veterans of the sport and people that have never touched a ball.

Why play rugby?

Rugby is unique in what it allows you to do. You have the constant flow and instant switch between offense/defense of soccer combined with the contact and formation play of American football.

Even prior to rugby's return to the Olympics, the increasing popularity of the sport was being enjoyed across high school and college/university campuses and local playing fields across the country.

The camaraderie of rugby has enabled many of its players to play not just within their own local communities, but around the world!

Still interested?!?

 We have three seasons:

1) Fall, our Division IV matrix matches within NERFU.

2) Spring, our tournament and non-matrix matches around New England.

3) Summer, our 7s and 10s season.

If you'd like to join us, we're always looking for new players of all experience levels. We have two USA Rugby Level-200 certified coaches and a USA Rugby Level-1 referee. If you want to improve your skills or learn what rugby skills are, we welcome the challenge!
